Sports Day

On our Sports Day in aid of Sports Relief we raised £89.00. With thanks to Mrs Rote who made some beautiful cupcakes and the generosity of the parents who bought them. Pupils, teachers and parents all had a lot of fun.

Ben’s Surprise

As a teacher, you not only want your pupils to enjoy learning but most importantly that they grow up to be caring individuals. So, I was very proud of my primary pupils when they asked if they could throw Ben a surprise party because it was his last year with us and his birthday was in the Easter holiday.

Mrs Rulon Miller showed the children how to dye hard boiled eggs and no Easter is the same without chocolate nests.

World Book Day

The children and teachers never need an excuse to dress up on World Book Day. We also tried to read as many books during the morning as possible. Francesca’s personalised Frozen story, The very hungry caterpillar – Eric Carle, Parcel for Stanley – Ian Whybrow, Hide and Seek – Jez Alborough, The Emperor’s Egg – Martin Jenkins, Hiawatha – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, How are you feeling today? – Molly Potter to name but a few.
