As you may know already, we are working towards achieving the Wellbeing Award for Schools.
Our first step is to understand how well we are currently supporting the emotional wellbeing of our pupils and identify ways in which we can build on and improve the support we offer. For this reason, we are inviting pupils at our school to complete a survey to share their thoughts.
We are asking for your permission to invite your child to complete the survey. If you are happy for your child to do this then you do not have to do anything. However, if you do not want your child to complete the questionnaire then please let us know by Friday 26th March.
If we do not hear from you, we will assume you are happy for your child to be invited. Please be reassured that by deciding against you or your child taking part in the survey will not disadvantage you or your child in any way.
If you are unsure about whether you would like your child to take part and you have some questions about the survey, please speak to Mrs Wasley or Mrs Everley.
The survey has been specially designed for pupils. Year 4 and Year 6 pupils will be able to answer questions independently and their answers will not be shared with their friends or teachers – unless your child chooses an adult to help them complete the questions. Pupils in Year 2, Year 1 and Reception will take part in small group discussions to share their views.
The information from the survey will help our school to improve its provision for emotional wellbeing and mental health and inform our school action plan. All information collected will be kept anonymous and confidential.
